In the section below, you will find responses to the following frequently asked questions about our
search application:
How are the broadband plans ranked? We rank plans based upon what broadband plan subscribers tend to care most about. Cost and quality of service. We leverage our in-depth understanding of how each plan is structured to calculate exactly how much your broadband usage would cost on that plan. Naturally the plans that support your usage with the lowest associated cost are rated highest. We use quarterly published information provided by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to rate broadband operators quality of service. Those providers that have the most stars are deemed to perform better at quality of service and hence care more about their customers. How is the Quality of Service score calculated? The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) publishes scores for each broadband operator for each region for a series of measures. We then take those raw scores and apply our own unique formula to calculate the best operators across three areas of network performance, customer service and billing. Further details of the measures and the weightings used to arrive at our proprietary Quality of Service score are shown below.

A key aspect of our analysis is calculating how much each broadband plan would cost you for your internet usage. As you tell us how much you are currently spending per month we will show you precisely how much money you can save with other broadband plans. To get a detailed breakdown of how the savings figure was computed for any plan, simply click on the 'view details' link on the plan. How can you help me stay on the best broadband plan? Change is inevitable. Your usage patterns may change over time. Or there could be changes in the market with the introduction of new plans, adjustments to existing plans, upgrades to broadband networks etc. Our goal is to keep you updated of these events in the case that they represent a change in our top plan recommendations. If you click here and then input your broadband usage plan we will notify you of any new broadband plans that will save you money. Where do you get your data? The information on broadband plans is taken directly from providers and compared against other sources for accuracy. In most cases we have a relationship with the provider who will proactively inform us of any changes to our service, in any cases where we don’t have a relationship we will check plan details on at least a monthly basis. All data is regularly checked to ensure that the information and advice we give is accurate and up to date.
